Using SlideShare Is Much Better With PDFs

We introduced you to a very small upstart, no-frills, slide sharing program nextprev.  Now we introduce you to a well established company that is social media site as well.

SlideShare is appropriately named as it has a slide sharing program that allows you to post to the SlideShare social media.  It also has analytics as well as video uploads and many more features.  You can also synchronize music with the slides.

The free version is a public social media sharing site.  All of your uploads are open to the public.  They even get rated as to the popularity.

With over 60 million visitors a month, it is a good place for public business presentations.  It will expose your company, product or service to a wide and diverse audience.

There are three PRO versions that require a subscription.  They vary on the number of sales leads a month you will get.  They also allow uploads of 500 MB.  The free version has a maximum 100 MB file size.

The PRO versions allow for private SlideShare presentations which will not be seen by the public.  These are great for customer presentations that may contain sensitive information.

The real interesting thing is that people report the SlideShare works a lot better when you convert your presentation into a PDF.  If you use SlideShare, try converting your presentations into a PDF and uploading them instead of PowerPoint and other formats.
