Send PDF files on Windows Phones using Hike Messenger

Hike

If you use Hike on your Windows Phone then you’ll be interested to know that a major update has been rolled out in Beta that has seen the messaging service undergo a major design and functionality change. The official release notes for the update state that Hike has been practically rewritten from scratch (17,378 lines of code to date) and users will notice a big difference as soon as they log on after updating. A brand new interface has been introduced, pushing simpler and easier navigation for users, as well as a wide range of features including 10 new chat themes, enhanced group admin settings and the option to mute group chats (which can also now have up to 500 members).

The part of the update we’re most excited about, however, is the functionality to share documents and files in a wide range of formats including ZIP and PDF. Document sharing is unlimited and individual files of up to 100MB can be shared with other users. This addition to Hike gives users enhanced options for document and file sharing, with documents sent as PDF able to be read on other devices not running Windows. This aspect of the update opens Hike up as part of a wider network for file sharing and makes it a much stronger competitor to other messaging apps such bas WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.

Further updates since released for the messenger include support for 8 Indian languages and enhanced predictive text technology to cater for the diversity of multi-language users around the world.

Hike is also available for Android and iOS and is free to download and use.
