Instant PDF Translation using Infix
Auto-translate any PDF at the touch of a button

You can now easily translate pages from technical reports, academic papers, user manuals and more into 60+ different languages using the new Auto Translate facility in Infix 7.

Simply open your PDF using Infix then choose Translate→Auto Translate... from the menu bar. Choose the desired language and press OK to start.

How does it work?

The text in your document is stripped out and sent to a cloud-based translation service. The translated text is then injected back into your PDF.

How much does it cost?

The service is free of charge subject to usage limits^* For demo users, you can translate 2 pages per day. If you have a licence you can translate 100 pages every 30 days.

Auto-translate vs. TransPDF?

• The auto-translate facility uses machine learning to provide you with a finished, rough translation. It's a great service if all you need is the gist of what your original PDF is about.
• TransPDF gives professional translators access to the text in a PDF in a format they can use with their translation systems. They translate the text then upload it back into the PDF.
• A professional translator will do a much better translation job than a machine and is vital if you need accuracy from the final PDF.
• Auto-translate involves only 1 other party - the cloud-based translation server (currently Microsoft Azure). Using TransPDF involves an Iceni server located in London plus an Azure server (if you choose to auto-translate).
• Auto-translate works a page at a time. TransPDF handles an entire PDF.
