Page numbering can be done on two ways:

  • copying a page number field onto each page. 
    This approach gives you the flexibility to copy a selection of objects (such as graphics, images, text) at the same time as the page number.

  • applying a text header & footer to each page in a range. 
    You can specify the text style but cannot include graphics or non-text items - see Bates Numbering
