Once you have added a tabstop to the ruler, you can set the leader character used for a tab-stop.

  1. Position the mouse cursor over the relevant tab-stop in the ruler (at the top of the window).
  2. Press the right mouse button to display the tab menu and choose Tab Options...
  3. To add leader dots to your tab-stop, type a single ‘.’ (period) into the Leader Character text box.
